The distances are enormous and therefore we work with a lot of fly in from bush airstrip to airstrip. ! There are wonderful combinations of the different safari areas in South Africa; Exeter, Kruger, Phinda game reserve, Madikwe etc. but there could also be some amazing combinations with Botswana or the Victoria Falls that are very impressive. Cape Town is an incredibly fun city to finish your safari, with a choice of many small-scale boutique hotels (which are not expensive), or luxury one of the Relais & Chateaux in the wine regions and on the coast. There are also family units available in South Africa at a number of locations. We are able to advise you which activities are experienced as fun for kids in terms of age - also in terms of length of safari and variety with an option for activities outside safari. So that everyone has a nice trip and the parents don't have to deal with bored with children. Everything is arranged into the smallest detail. All you need to to on location, is enjoy nature, relax and tell your guide/manager how you like to spent your day and they will arrange. Unusually you go on morning and late afternoon game drive and you spent the warm hours around noon in the lodge for lunch and relaxation. however full day game drives are also possible on many locations, where you go with packed lunch. It is nice to relax in the lodge when it gets hot, but its can also be rewarding to go out over the hottest time of the day to see species that will usually only hunt during the hottest hours- like for instance the cheetah.
